NOTAM specialist — employer requirements guide

On this page — jump to a section

A NOTAM specialist concentrates on notices and related information records within an aeronautical information service. The historical Rwanda Airports Company description distinguishes this post from its broader AIM officer role. This focused responsibility should not be confused with authority to invent, approve or distribute operational information without the organization’s training and authorization. [EMP1, REG1]

Text description

The original teaching cycle follows information from its responsible source through clarification, managed change, publication and exchange, and use with feedback. The feedback returns to the responsible service and can lead to another managed change. Quality and traceability apply throughout, rather than at a single final check. Exact processes and authorizations depend on the responsible service; this illustration is not a production or briefing checklist.

Actual employer examples — keep each country and notice separate

Rwanda AIS provider personnel

Part 25 requires the provider to assess and maintain the competence of personnel authorized to check, edit and publish aeronautical information, and to provide written evidence of authorization scope. That organizational requirement is distinct from the employer’s selected educational conditions and does not establish a universal NOTAM licence. [REG1]
