Job-title requirements encyclopaedia

Six broad introductions, ten subject fields and thirteen career sectors are different browsing views. See how they fit together.

Browse 123 employer-evidenced job guides, with separate country examples, source dates, essential/desirable criteria and PDF reading copies.

Educational reference · 27 October 2026. Educational reference — verify current requirements with the relevant authority. This is not a qualification, admission decision or operational publication.

123 completed reading copies are available as educational references within a provisional 129-title coverage plan. Six titles are explicitly held because the evidence or role-specific applicability is not ready; they have no finished guide or download. The 12 broad career/sector guides are a different collection and are not counted as job-specific PDFs.

Country groups help locate evidence; they do not determine work rights, licence equivalence or eligibility. Regional labels are grouped under their explicitly stated country. Original location and scope wording remains in each guide; unresolved or unstated jurisdictions are not guessed. The optional scope filter narrows the source example, not a worldwide rule.

Held coverage gaps — no finished guide or download

Six provisional titles are explicitly held, not completed guides or live vacancies. The gaps below explain why they were not included. The 129-title scope is not a complete worldwide job taxonomy. AISEP remains unresolved and is not treated as an ATSEP synonym.

Flight operations and cabin — 1 held title
  • Flight operations standards specialist — A directly verified employer description for company flight-operations standards work is still needed. A regulator inspector is a different role.
AIS AIM and aeronautical data — 2 held titles
  • Navigation database coder — No complete accessible primary employer description passed the navigation-database-coder evidence check. Search snippets and third-party reposts were excluded.
  • AIM database administrator — An AIM-specific database-administration job description is still needed. Database tasks in another AIM job do not establish a separate occupation.
Airports and airfield operations — 1 held title
  • Aerodrome standards officer — The available employer example concerns a more senior specialist. Exact standards-officer responsibilities and the applicable current national framework need verification.
Safety security and emergency services — 1 held title
  • Search and rescue coordinator — A full mission-coordination job description and its authority/training context remain unverified. Related district-support work is not an equivalent mission-coordinator example.
General business and rotorcraft aviation — 1 held title
  • Helicopter hoist operator — A broader helicopter-aircrew profile does not establish a dedicated hoist-operator job specification. Exact responsibilities, employer requirements and applicable authorisation remain to be verified.
